How to prevent the brass pull handles from changing color? | Simple and practical maintenance methods

   The brass pull handles are smooth and attractive. However, they tend to oxidize and darken over time. With proper daily maintenance, they can maintain their luster for a long time and effortlessly retain their exquisite appearance. 

1.Pre-install anti-tarnish treatment

   Before installing the new handle, apply a thin layer of transparent anti-rust wax, furniture care oil or metal protection varnish evenly to prevent moisture from the air and reduce oxidation discoloration at its source. 

2. Maintain a dry and ventilated environment

   Moisture is the main reason for the rapid oxidation of brass. In the kitchen and bathroom, try to keep it dry to avoid prolonged exposure to water and water vapor, and reduce the erosion caused by moisture. 

3. Daily Correct Cleaning

   During daily use, simply wipe off the dust with a dry soft cloth. For minor stains, gently wipe with a slightly damp soft cloth and immediately dry the water.

5. Regular maintenance and brightening

   Every few days, gently wipe with a special brass care oil. This not only brightens the color but also forms a protective film, delaying oxidation. If the brass has slightly darkened, you can gently wipe it with a special brass cleaner to restore its original color.

6. Avoid direct sunlight exposure

   Long-term exposure to direct sunlight accelerates the aging and fading of the metal. Try to avoid leaving the cabinet handles exposed to the sun for a long time. 

   By following these steps, the brass pull handles can remain in their warm original color for a long time, not getting blackened or dimmed, and will always look brand new over time.
